The Anna and John J. Sie Center for Down Syndrome at Children's Hospital Colorado was established thanks to a generous gift from the Anna and John J. Sie Foundation. The clinic officially opened its doors in November 2010 as part of the Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
The Sie Center for Down Syndrome provides the highest quality of comprehensive consultation to children with Down syndrome by coordinating medical care, along with therapies including speech, physical and occupational therapy. Our team also includes feeding therapists, a psychologist and a child education specialist. We serve as a local, national and international resource for families and primary care physicians by providing up-to-date information while also supporting parents who have received a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome.

The Sie Center provides expert medical and therapeutic intervention available for children with Down syndrome in Colorado and surrounding states. It is one of the largest comprehensive teams caring for children with Down syndrome, located at a nationally-ranked children's hospital as rated by U.S. News & World Report. Together with the Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome Research, the Sie Center helps advance the total care of children with Down syndrome by providing excellent medical care, therapy, research and advocacy.
Our team of providers has more than 80 years of combined experience in caring for children with Down syndrome and developmental disabilities. We have some of the top pediatric specialists in the nation who are actively involved with teaching at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, which in 2013 was ranked in the top 10 nationally by U.S. News & World Report. At Children’s Colorado we collaborate with many of the most premier pediatric sub-specialists in the country to improve the care of children with Down syndrome and develop state-of-the-art clinical research.
In addition, we’re working toward becoming a leading translational research program for children with Down syndrome. That means the Sie Center will take cutting-edge discoveries straight from our research lab and use them to help patients in the clinical setting. Learn more about research at Children’s Colorado.
At the Sie Center, our services include evaluation, consultation and therapies for infants, children, teens and young adults with Down syndrome. We see patients from the prenatal phase of life, up to age 25 (patients must be seen in the Center prior to age 21 to be followed until age 25). By coordinating our care with other clinics at Children's Hospital Colorado, we have an entire team of pediatric specialists working together to provide the best possible care for your child.
The Sie Center is located on the second floor of Children's Colorado on Anschutz Medical Campus (13123 E. 16th Ave. in Aurora, CO). To find us, take the glass elevators in the lobby to the second floor, exit left, and we are the last door on the left.
