It can be exciting but scary to learn that your child is a candidate for epilepsy surgery. For children who have epilepsy that is very localized or difficult to treat, surgery may be an option.
Our multidisciplinary surgery team is designed to meet the needs of every child from presurgical testing to postsurgical extended care. For Lianna and her family, the hope for a seizure-free future is worth conquering their nerves.

Before performing surgery, our epilepsy team maps a patient's brain to understand the origin of their seizures. Stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG) method is a faster and more precise way for our epilepsy team to map a patient's seizures.
